Home Stretch on Sunset, Tinashe Closes Her Popstar Run at the Hollywood Palladium
Tinashe plays the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday, November 7, the Los Angeles finale of a three-city run behind her album Popstar.

Tinashe will play the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday, November 7, the last of three city shows she booked behind her eighth album, Popstar, The Needle Drop reported.
The run, billed as Three Nights With a Popstar, opened at the Salt Shed in Chicago in October and moved to the Brooklyn Paramount on Saturday, October 24, before landing on Sunset Boulevard. RTTNews reported that the shows were planned to debut songs from the new record, and that VIP packages include show tickets and access to a DJ after-party.
What Popstar Sounds Like
Popstar came out September 25 through Nice Life Recording Company, Atlantic Records and her own imprint, Tinashe Music, according to RTTNews. The lead single, “Too Easy,” arrived June 5, and “Crash Out” followed with a music video, The Needle Drop reported. The album runs 16 songs, Atwood Magazine wrote.
In an interview cited by RTTNews, Tinashe called the project “cutting-edge, innovative, and something new.” The record pulls from R&B, pop, electronic and dance music.
Early reviews have been warm. The Harvard Crimson gave it four and a half stars. “‘Popstar’ is Tinashe’s most consistent, cohesive, yet experimental album to date,” the review said, and it called the album her first major-label project since Joyride in 2018.
The Palladium marked a ten-year anniversary in October with ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face celebration. This time the record on stage is about six weeks old.
