Isabella Rossellini will appear at the Academy Museum on Thursday, November 5, to present Viva Ingrid! and the U.S. restoration premiere of her father Roberto Rossellini’s Journey to Italy in 4K, according to the museum’s program page.

The screening belongs to Roberto Rossellini Prefers Real Life, a retrospective marking 120 years since the Italian director’s birth. Finestre sull’Arte reported that the series was organized by the Italian film institution Cinecittà with Italy’s Ministry of Culture, the Academy Museum and Film Forum in New York. The museum’s series page runs it from November 4 to November 30, and Film Forum picks it up in New York on November 20.

The Films on the Bill

Journey to Italy is the 1954 drama starring Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders, and Cinecittà restored it in 4K, the Italian arts outlet reported. Viva Ingrid! is a documentary by Alessandro Rossellini, and the lineup also includes My Dad Is 100 Years Old, Isabella Rossellini’s own tribute to her father.

“My father had a deep curiosity about cinema, about people, and about the world,” she said in a statement the outlet published in English, adding that she was happy to share his films. The museum’s page does not publish a running time, a theater or a start time for the night.

Later in the month the same museum hosts Sissy Spacek with Carrie on November 19.

Practical Details

The program is Thursday, November 5, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, 6067 Wilshire Blvd. The museum lists tickets starting at $5. Finestre sull’Arte also reported that Rossellini will attend the opening on Wednesday, November 4, and the museum lists her in person for a second program that pairs My Dad Is 100 Years Old with Rome, Open City. A separate screening of the restored Journey to Italy, without a guest, is set for Friday, November 20.
