Still Here started in 2018 with Maurice and Sonia Mosseri hand-painting denim. On Friday, September 25, the husband-and-wife label opened at 8627 Melrose Avenue, its fifth store and its first outside New York.

The other four are in New York, on Elizabeth Street, on Madison Avenue, on Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg and in the West Village, and the move west follows the numbers. Los Angeles is the brand’s largest online market outside New York. “We feel strongly that L.A. should be our first out-of-state store based on demand,” Maurice Mosseri said.

The New York studio Husband Wife, led by Brittney Hart and Justin Capuco, designed the space around the brand’s signature denim grid, with vintage furniture and a mix of metal and wood. The Vintage Room is the largest the brand has built, stocked with vintage clothing, sterling accessories and eyewear sourced with local dealers.

Jeans, including the Cool Jean, Sport Jean and 11 Jean, run $280 to $325, and basics from the Los Angeles-made Colors line run $95 to $160. Los Angeles-exclusive colorways are planned from spring 2027.
