Sheer on Sunset, SKIMS and Ludovic de Saint Sernin Drop a Lace-Up Capsule
Kim Kardashian’s label and the Paris designer released a limited collection on October 1, stocked at the West Hollywood flagship.
On Thursday, October 1, SKIMS released its limited-edition collaboration with the Paris designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin, online and in its flagships in New York, Los Angeles, London, Chicago and Dubai. In Los Angeles that means the store at 8569 West Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. The launch was global.
The collection runs to dresses, separates and statement silhouettes in body-conscious cuts, with sheer textures and intricate lace-up construction worked in SKIMS’ tonal palette. The references are de Saint Sernin’s own, from ‘90s supermodel glamour to queer nightlife and subculture.
Kim Kardashian was an early supporter of his label, and she framed the project as a meeting of two points of view. “I’ve long admired how he approaches design with confidence and authenticity. Together, we created a collection that feels elevated, empowering and true to both of our visions,” she said.
Steven Klein shot the campaign, which features Kardashian alongside the designer. His pictures offered the first complete look at the capsule. The pieces had an early outing on September 18 at the opening of the SKIMS London flagship, where Kim Petras, Tems and Rose Gray wore select looks.
The West Hollywood store is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. The collection is also sold at skims.com.
