Madonna did not go home early. After the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27, the night’s big winner, as The Hollywood Reporter called her, carried on at the Chateau Marmont, where she and KIKO Milano, the cosmetics brand that counts her as a global brand ambassador, threw a VMAs party.

She had earned it. At the Peacock Theater downtown, Madonna went into the night with 13 nominations, the most of any artist, and left with seven wins, Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Dance, Best Long Form Video, Best Album, Best Cinematography and Best Choreography, CBS News reported. She opened the show, her first time performing at the VMAs in more than 20 years, by announcing “It’s mother,” then sang “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter, the duet that later won Best Collaboration, before moving into “Danceteria” with Charli xcx. The performance featured Debi Mazar and Julia Garner, who have cameos in her Confessions II film.

“I spent the last year and a half finding myself, believing in myself, and making the music I want to make,” she said accepting Artist of the Year, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “That is the definition of being an artist.”

The guest list at the Chateau followed the stage. Photos in Variety’s gallery show Madonna with Charli xcx, and with Sabrina Carpenter and Odessa A’zion, at the KIKO Milano party. Velvet also covered Fireworks and a Final Freeze, Charli xcx Plays Two Nights at the Kia Forum. Teen Vogue reported that PinkPantheress and Manon Bannerman were also among the invitees, with Bannerman spotted leaving in the early hours of Monday in a cowl-neck white top, low-rise straight jeans and pointy boots.
