A Nantucket Summer in Brentwood, Demi Moore Takes Her Step Up Honor in Thom Browne
The Substance star was honored at Step Up’s Inspiration Awards at the Skirball, dressed with her daughter in coordinated Thom Browne.
Demi Moore wore a whole summer to the Skirball. On Friday, September 25, the actress was among the honorees at Step Up’s annual Inspiration Awards, a lunchtime celebration at the Skirball Cultural Center, and she arrived in Thom Browne printed with country and waterside scenes.
WWD describes the look as a scenic silk twill Nantucket print in greens and blues, with country and waterside views running across a shirt, a single-breasted blazer and a pleated skirt. She wore the shirt with a tie, added Thom Browne socks in the designer’s signature stripe and finished with pointed-toe pumps in blue and white.
Her daughter Tallulah Willis, 32, came in Thom Browne too, but in plaid. Per WWD, her red, gray and blue suiting combined a long-sleeve jacket, a waistcoat and a pleated skirt over a white shirt and a striped tie. She skipped the socks, wore pointed-toe white pumps and carried a black purse shaped like a small dog, fluffy tail included. The two looks did not match, but together they leaned into Browne’s preppy tailoring, skirt suit for skirt suit.
Step Up celebrates and supports teenage girls and young women as they pursue their personal and career goals, with mentorship at the center of the work. The Browne connection runs deep this season. Earlier in September, Moore sat in the front row at the designer’s spring 2027 show at The Shed in Hudson Yards, the finale of New York Fashion Week, alongside Rachel Zegler, Naomi Watts, Adam Scott and Anna Wintour, Variety reported. The collection sent sequin fly appliqués, jacquard grasshoppers and beetles around a giant white cocoon. WWD noted that the 63-year-old traded her signature long hair for a sleek bob at that show, pairing it with Browne’s trademark suiting, while her longtime stylist Brad Goreski shaped her look for the night.
