Demi Moore will receive the Giving Tree Award at the 2026 Baby2Baby Gala presented by Paul Mitchell, People reported on September 22. The award goes each year to a female public figure who has shown exceptional commitment to improving the lives of children in need, and Moore will accept it at the gala on Saturday, November 14, in Los Angeles.

According to People, Moore is being recognized for challenging expectations, using her voice with purpose and helping pave the way for generations of women on screen and beyond. Velvet also covered Moore’s Step Up honor in Thom Browne.

The Baby2Baby co-CEOs Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein praised her as a mother, grandmother, actress and philanthropist. “She knows what it means for a child to grow up without stability and the basic essentials every child deserves, which aligns with what Baby2Baby has stood for over the last 15 years,” they said.

She joins a long line of names on the award, among them Serena Williams, Charlize Theron, Salma Hayek Pinault, Kim Kardashian, Kerry Washington, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner and Drew Barrymore.

The night is one of the starriest on the Los Angeles charity calendar. Last November the gala filled the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, where Alicia Keys presented Williams with the award, Ludacris performed and Prince Harry and Meghan made a rare public appearance, The Hollywood Reporter wrote. Adam Scott, Lizzo, Missy Elliott, Paris Hilton, Tyler Perry and Will Ferrell were in the room, and the evening raised a record $18 million.

That money goes to the basics. According to People, Baby2Baby has distributed 850 million essential items, including diapers, formula and clothing, over the last 15 years, with a mission of reaching 1.5 million children in need each year. Paul Mitchell is the 2026 title sponsor, joined by General Motors, Merck for Mothers and Dave.

Hollywood Boulevard has a place for her too. In July 2025 the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce named her to the Walk of Fame’s class of 2026, alongside Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet and Shaquille O’Neal.
