The tour opened in clubs on the East Coast. It comes home to an arena. On Wednesday, October 28, YG plays Crypto.com Arena on The Gentlemen’s Club Tour, with doors at 7 p.m. and the show at 8, according to the arena’s listing. The arena and Live Nation both bill Mozzy, Kalan.FrFr, Natalie Nunn and Chef Boy alongside him, and tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster.

A Hometown Return

Power 107 reported that YG announced the tour on Tuesday, July 21, as 21 dates in 19 cities. It began at Big Night Live in Boston on September 10 and ran through rooms like Irving Plaza in New York and the House of Blues in Chicago before turning west to arenas. Two Southern California arena nights come first, at Toyota Arena in Ontario on October 24 and Viejas Arena in San Diego on October 25. The run ends with two nights at The Republik in Honolulu on November 6 and 7.

The tour supports his seventh studio album, The Gentlemen’s Club, which arrived in June. Power 107 names “Hollywood,” with Shoreline Mafia, and “OMG,” featuring Pusha T, among the tracks, and lists Tyler, The Creator, JID and Ab-Soul among the collaborators.

Compton on the Clock

The announcement landed days before YG’s VERZUZ with fellow Compton rapper The Game. Hoodline reported that the matchup was set for Thursday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. Pacific in Los Angeles, streaming on Apple Music, Complex and VERZUZ’s own channels. Both men come out of Compton and have worked together over the years, “which makes this feel more like a hometown celebration than a grudge match,” Hoodline wrote.

The arena night lands in a busy stretch on Figueroa. Kacey Musgraves plays the building on October 18 and 19, and Weezer closes its Gathering tour there on October 24.
