Hometown Last Call, Weezer Closes Its Gathering Tour at Crypto.com Arena
Weezer ends a 32-city arena run in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 24, with The Shins and Silversun Pickups.

The last night of a tour usually belongs to the home crowd, and Weezer’s does. The band brings its arena run home to Crypto.com Arena on Saturday, October 24.
When the band announced Weezer, The Gathering in March, iHeart reported a 32 city North American arena tour opening September 8 in Sacramento and wrapping in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles. The Shins and Silversun Pickups are special guests on every date, and the arena lists both on the Los Angeles bill.
The Run
The Gathering follows the band’s sold out Return to the Blue Planet tour, which celebrated 30 years of the Blue Album, and the Hella Mega stadium run Weezer co-headlined with Green Day and Fall Out Boy, iHeart noted. To launch it, the band hosted a week of Los Angeles events called Initiation Week, with a trivia night at Barney’s Beanery and a pickleball tournament against the band.
Weezer also released a new song, “Shine Again,” on April 1. According to iHeart it comes from a forthcoming album that will be the band’s first release on Reprise/Warner Records. The final week of the tour runs through Phoenix, San Diego and Las Vegas before the Los Angeles close.
Downtown, Back to Back
The arena stays loud all week. Kacey Musgraves plays two nights there on October 18 and 19, five days before Weezer takes the same stage.
