Kacey Musgraves is bringing a little Texas dancehall to Figueroa Street. The Grammy winner plays Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, October 18 and Monday, October 19, two of the last North American stops on her Middle of Nowhere Tour, with Gabriella Rose and Estevie in support, according to Los Angeles magazine.

The tour takes its name from her album Middle of Nowhere, released May 1. Variety heard a more distinctly Texas country flavor after the folk pop tinge her albums took on starting with Golden Hour, which won the album of the year Grammy. The record features Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov, and Billboard noted that it blends country, pop, bluegrass, zydeco and Norteño. “Pedal steel, accordion and Texas dancehall rhythms provide a nostalgic framework that she flips on its head in signature fashion,” the official album description reads.

Musgraves framed it as a record about open space. “I became so at ease with being in the ‘middle of nowhere’ in many senses and sitting in the un-comfort of the undefined,” she said when she announced it.

The show leans into that geography. Ticketmaster’s guide to the tour, built on the opening night set in Chicago, lists covers of the Texas Tornados song “(Hey Baby) ¿Qué pasó?” and George Strait’s “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” alongside recent singles like “Dry Spell.” Early in the run, her set started shortly after 9 p.m. and ran just under two hours.

Los Angeles is one of several cities on the tour to get back-to-back nights, according to TicketNews. After downtown, the tour heads to Oakland and closes its North American leg at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena on October 27, before arena dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London in February 2027. Velvet also covered Lisa Leslie’s statue outside the arena.
