A Nineties Mixtape Under One Roof, TLC and Salt-N-Pepa Bring En Vogue to Intuit Dome
The first co-headlining tour from the two groups reaches Intuit Dome on October 10, the night before its final stop.
TLC and Salt-N-Pepa will bring It’s Iconic, their first co-headlining tour, to Intuit Dome in Inglewood on Saturday, October 10, with En Vogue as special guest. The tour started August 15 in Franklin, Tennessee, and wraps the next night, October 11, in Concord, California.
Nobody opens and nobody closes. The three acts mash their sets together without a break or an intermission, the same format New Edition, Toni Braxton and Boyz II Men have used on their arena tour. “I feel like this is going to be the most fun touring experience I’ve ever had,” Cheryl “Salt” James said in a video announcing the run, Rolling Stone reported.
Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas tour as a duo, Spinderella is part of the Salt-N-Pepa show, and En Vogue arrives with three of its four classic-era members, Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron and Maxine Jones. “These ladies represent resilience and empowerment,” Ellis said in the announcement video. “To be a part of that is everything. They’re legends.”
The set list leans on the songs that made all three groups radio fixtures, among them “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls,” “Push It,” “Shoop,” “Free Your Mind” and “Don’t Let Go (Love).” Chilli has a theory about why the decade’s music still lands. “You can put on a song no matter how you’re feeling,” she said.
Tickets are on sale through Live Nation, where upgrades include a meet and greet with En Vogue.
