Halloween week on the Los Angeles club circuit will open on a Thursday. On October 29, Dim Mak presents Steve Aoki at Academy LA, the nightclub at 6021 Hollywood Boulevard, with doors at 10 p.m. and entry limited to guests 21 and over.

Aoki will top a bill that also includes Bella Renee, Crumb Pit, Highsociety, Linney and Zachary Fremont. The club bills itself as “Hollywood’s Premier Nightclub Experience,” and it runs cashless, taking credit and debit cards and digital payments only.

Academy will keep the lights on through the holiday itself, with AC Slater on Friday, October 30, and MORTEN on Saturday, October 31. Before all that, the same calendar lists Nicky Romero tonight, Friday, October 2, and Boombox Cartel on Friday, October 16.

Downtown, Exchange LA answers with two headliners of its own. Dimitri Vegas will play Friday, October 30, and Dillon Francis will take Halloween night, both with 10 p.m. doors and a 21-and-over policy at 618 S. Spring Street. “Our historic 1930’s building has been reimagined to function as a nightclub and event space!” the venue says of itself, and the building backs it up with seven full service bars and an LED screen display stretched across four stories.

Both clubs sell tickets through TicketWeb and warn that tickets bought from third-party resellers will not be valid for entry. Bring a government-issued ID that matches the name on the ticket. At Exchange, VIP tables are booked through Tablelist, and all sales are final.
