A Purple Carpet on Broadway, the Osbournes Host the Back to the Beginning Premiere at the Orpheum
The Osbourne family will host the world premiere of the Ozzy and Black Sabbath farewell concert film downtown on October 14.

The carpet will be purple. The Osbourne family announced Wednesday that they will host the world premiere of the Back to the Beginning concert film, billed as Ozzy and Black Sabbath, at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 14, Blabbermouth reported. A limited number of tickets to the family-hosted screening are on sale, and half of every ticket sold will be donated to Los Angeles homeless charities.
The film documents the sold-out Back to the Beginning show at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on July 5, 2025. That night Ozzy Osbourne played his final live performance, 17 days before his death, and the original Black Sabbath lineup of Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward played together for the first time in more than 20 years, according to Lambgoat.
Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife and manager, oversaw the event. “‘Back To The Beginning’ came about because I asked Ozzy what would really make him happy,” she said in the announcement. “And he said the only thing that would make him happy was if he could perform again and say goodbye to his fans. That’s all he wanted to do. He wanted to say goodbye and thank you.”
Jason Momoa hosted the show and Tom Morello served as musical director. Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Gojira, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Mastodon and Rival Sons all played sets, with guests including Billy Corgan, Ronnie Wood, Sammy Hagar, Travis Barker, Yungblud and Steven Tyler, who is about to return to the Hollywood Bowl with Aerosmith. The film runs about two and a half hours and mixes performance footage with backstage material and reflections from the musicians, Lambgoat reported.
Ben Wainwright-Pearce, whose credits include the Taylor Swift Eras Tour film, directed it for the screen, and it is presented in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound, according to Blabbermouth. Trafalgar Releasing will open it in cinemas worldwide as an event release beginning Wednesday, October 28.
