Jimmy O. Yang will bring his Has No Friends Tour to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Friday, April 30, 2027, at 8 p.m., a homecoming of sorts for a comedian who was raised in Los Angeles from the age of 13.

The Dolby Theatre’s listing describes Yang as a stand-up comedian, actor and writer who was born in Hong Kong and speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Shanghainese. His third stand-up special, Finally Home, was filmed in Hong Kong and released in theaters, which the venue says made him the first Asian comedian to debut a comedy special in cinemas. It now streams on Hulu.

Where You Have Seen Him

On screen, Yang has appeared in Silicon Valley, Crazy Rich Asians and Interior Chinatown, and the Dolby says he will next appear in Netflix’s The Roman. He is also the author of the memoir How to American. The venue does not describe the new show itself, name an opening act or give a running time.

The booking keeps the Dolby’s comedy streak going. Earlier this month Max Amini set a Dolby Theatre record with six shows on Hollywood Boulevard.
