Four Nights on Melrose, Chelsea Handler Settles Into the Hollywood Improv
Handler plays four October dates at the Improv’s Main Room, including a Saturday show with Loni Love, Beth Stelling and Irene Tu.
Chelsea Handler is settling in on Melrose for the back half of October. The Hollywood Improv, at 8162 Melrose Avenue, has her in its Main Room on October 22, 24, 27 and 29.
Three of the nights are Tonight at the Improv shows that will start at half past seven, on Thursday the 22nd, Tuesday the 27th and Thursday the 29th. Each pairs her with Anthony Jeselnik and Brian Monarch and promises very special guests, and Jeanne Whitney joins the October 29 lineup.
The club’s billing makes the case in a single sentence. “Chelsea Handler is a comedian, television host, New York Times best-selling author and advocate whose humor and candor have established her as one of the most celebrated voices in entertainment and pop culture,” it reads.
Saturday, October 24, is her own night. Chelsea Handler & Friends will start at 7 p.m. with Loni Love, Beth Stelling and Irene Tu, and more guests are still to be announced. “Loni Love is an EMMY, two-time NAACP Image & three-time Gracie Award-winning host, comedian, actress, author, and philanthropist,” the club notes, and it introduces Stelling as a comedian, writer and actress based in Los Angeles. The Improv lists the evening as a special event.
Tickets for the October 22 and 27 shows start at $44.79, and the Saturday show starts at $39.64. The Improv does not honor third-party tickets, and the name on each ticket must match the ID presented at the venue.
