Yellow Label on the Boardwalk, Charlize Theron Toasts Veuve Clicquot’s Club Solaire in Venice
Theron, Grace Van Patten and a DJing Este Haim opened the Champagne house’s three-day beach club, which closes today.

Charlize Theron does not get down to Venice as often as she would like. “I love having a reason to come down to Venice because I don’t do it myself enough,” she said on Thursday evening at Veuve Clicquot’s cocktail party above the Venice Beach boardwalk, WWD reported.
The Champagne house has turned 619 Ocean Front Walk into Club Solaire, a two-story space with long communal tables dressed in flowers and candles, sculptural pendant lights and flashes of the brand’s signature yellow. Upstairs, on the ocean-facing rooftop, Este Haim worked the DJ booth through a mix of throwbacks and hits while glasses of Yellow Label went around, with her parents in the crowd. Theron and Haim posed together in front of the decks.
Theron came in an oversize ivory Hermès knit, a long cream skirt and white Bottega Veneta lace-up shoes, carrying a blue Hermès Cargo Birkin. Grace Van Patten wore a long silk cream dress and reunited on the roof with her “Tell Me Lies” costar Cat Missal. Christina Hendricks, Arden Cho, True Whitaker and Ashley Madekwe were also there.
“Anything that encourages and celebrates getting community together right now is important, and I think that’s really what tonight is about,” Theron said. The weekend supports Regarding Her, which backs women-owned food and beverage businesses, and the Los Angeles Parks Foundation.
Club Solaire takes the place of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, which did not happen last year either. Its six ticketed experiences, built with the culinary group We Are Ona and participants including Michelin-starred chef Jordan Kahn and Folderol founder Jessica Yang, are sold out, according to the brand. The boardwalk side stays free for guests 21 and older, open from noon to 6 p.m. through today with no reservation, the Westside Current reported. It has a Regarding Her Champagne Bar, a Folderol ice cream parlor, a concept store and yellow bikes for rent, and all proceeds from Champagne sales at the Boardwalk Café go to Regarding Her.
Theron’s next Los Angeles night out is already on the calendar, when the Academy Museum honors her at its October gala.
