Next Thursday, October 8, Air Supply will receive the 2,859th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in the Recording category, at 6126 Hollywood Boulevard. The late-morning ceremony honors Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, with iHeartMedia’s Lisa Foxx as emcee and the Grammy-winning producer David Foster and former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak as guest speakers.

The partnership began on May 12, 1975, when the two met in Melbourne during rehearsals for an Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar. The breakthrough came in 1979 with “Lost in Love,” and the duo went on to match the Beatles’ run of five consecutive Top Five singles, with a catalog that includes “All Out of Love,” “Every Woman in the World” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.”

Their first three international albums and the 1983 Greatest Hits collection sold a combined 20 million copies, and “All Out of Love” has logged three million radio performances, marked by a BMI Million-Air certificate.

“For more than 50 years, Air Supply has created a timeless musical legacy that has touched generations of fans around the world,” said Ana Martinez, the Walk of Fame’s producer. The duo celebrated 50 years together on May 13, 2025, with a sold-out Carnegie Hall debut that was their 5,560th concert, and they still play roughly 130 dates a year.

The ceremony will stream live on walkoffame.com for fans who cannot make it to the boulevard. After that, the star belongs to the late-night foot traffic at 6126 Hollywood Boulevard.
