Tig Notaro keeps finding her way back to two of the city’s most intimate comedy rooms. Between stops on the road, her tour calendar lists five Los Angeles nights through December, three at Largo at the Coronet on La Cienega and two at Dynasty Typewriter on Wilshire Boulevard.

The Largo nights run under the title Tig Has Friends, on Saturday, October 10, Friday, November 6, and Friday, December 11. Each follows the club’s usual rhythm, with will call at 6 p.m., doors at 7 and the show at 8, and tickets are $40. Largo has not posted who the friends will be. Velvet also covered Before the Big Rooms, Brett Goldstein Tests a New Hour at Largo.

Dynasty Typewriter gets her on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, November 20. Since opening in 2018, the theater at 2511 Wilshire has built a program of comedy, music, live podcasts and screenings, and it notes that The New York Times named it “LA’s comedy clubhouse.” Notaro appears on its list of past performers alongside Conan O’Brien, Sarah Silverman and Maria Bamford.

The Los Angeles nights fit around a busy itinerary. The night before the first Largo show she plays Laxson Auditorium in Chico, and November takes her to Olympia, Washington, Fresno and two shows in Napa. In December she heads east to Wilmington, Delaware, Tarrytown, New York, and New London, Connecticut.

Her official biography covers a lot of ground. Notaro is an Emmy and Grammy nominated stand-up and an Oscar-nominated producer, thanks to the documentary Come See Me in the Good Light, and Rolling Stone named her one of the “50 best stand-up comics of all time.” Her latest special, Hello Again, premiered on Prime Video and drew multiple Emmy nominations. She co-hosts the podcast Handsome with Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin, appears in The Morning Show on Apple TV+ and the Star Trek series Discovery and Starfleet Academy on Paramount+, and has The Comeback King, directed by Judd Apatow and co-written by and starring Glen Powell, among her upcoming films.
