Sheryl Crow is coming back to the street that gave her a start. The Grammy winner will headline Live on Sunset, a free concert on Saturday, November 14, that takes over Sunset Boulevard between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard, the Los Angeles Times reported. Local Natives, Empress Of, Grace Bowers, Doug Locke and Mia Moretti are also on the bill.

Crow moved to Los Angeles in the late 1980s. “The intimate venues in West Hollywood will always hold a special place in my heart because they’re where I figured out who I was as an artist,” she said, as quoted by the Times. “It feels right to bring these new songs to the same place where the old ones found their first audience.” Those new songs come from Pick You Up, her 12th album, out Friday, October 9.

The City of West Hollywood organizes the event, and the official site lists it from 4 to 11 p.m. with an outdoor stage, activations, food and drinks. Entry is free, but guests must register online, and registration opens October 14. JJLA, the agency behind the OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride, is producing.

Live on Sunset is not a revival of the old Sunset Strip Music Festival, a ticketed event that ran for seven years and ended in 2014, with shows inside the Whisky a Go Go, the Roxy and the Viper Room. This time the music moves outside, onto the boulevard itself, along a 1.7 mile stretch that West Hollywood took in when it incorporated in 1984, at the height of the rock and metal years at Gazzarri’s, the Whisky and the Rainbow Bar and Grill, the Times noted.

“Sheryl Crow is a perfect fit to headline Live On Sunset,” West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman told the Times. “She has her own history here, performing in West Hollywood and on the Sunset Strip early in her career. It’s an honor to welcome her back.”
