Suds on Los Feliz Boulevard, Remi Wolf Throws a Car Wash Party for Mud
A free release party at the Los Feliz Car Wash on Friday, then An Evening of Mud at the Fonda on Saturday.

Remi Wolf is taking her new album to the car wash. On Friday, October 9, the day her third album Mud arrives on Island Records, she will throw a free Mud and Sud Album Release Party at the Los Feliz Car Wash, Grimy Goods reported Thursday.
The party runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 3013 Los Feliz Blvd. and promises DJs, merch, mud, suds and ice cream. It is free and open to all, but entry is first come, first served, and an RSVP does not guarantee a spot. The car wash itself will be closed for the afternoon, so nobody gets a rinse, and parking will be limited. Rideshare is encouraged.
The setting is not random. The video for “I Won’t Cry,” the ballad Wolf shared on September 25, shows her rolling through a drive through car wash as the mist turns into rainbows. Wolf co-directed the clip with Milo Nichols, Grimy Goods reported.
Mud follows Juno and Big Ideas and runs 11 tracks, including the singles “Twiggy,” “Bottle” and “I Won’t Cry.” Wolf made it with longtime collaborator Jared Solomon, starting in Nashville before moving to Big Bear, New York’s Electric Lady Studios and finally Joshua Tree. The band recorded live together in the same room, with Wolf often behind the drum kit herself.
The next night she brings the songs indoors. Wolf plays the Fonda Theatre on Saturday, October 10, a show billed as An Evening of Mud and part of the Hollywood venue’s nine show 100th anniversary series, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. Los Angeles magazine called it an intimate show for a room of only 1,200 people and the kickoff night of her tour. A stop at New York’s Webster Hall follows on October 13, Grimy Goods reported.
The Fonda knows her well. Grimy Goods recalled the first of her two sold out nights there in January 2022, when fans lined up around the merch table and up the stairs for tees printed with her dog Juno before Grace Ives even opened. Once Wolf took the stage with a live band and psychedelic visuals on the walls, the outlet wrote, the room turned into a dance party. The same series brought Father John Misty to the room this week, as Velvet covered in Just a Fiddle and a Friend, Father John Misty Goes Solo at the Fonda.
So the weekend has a clear arc. Friday afternoon, a free party at a car wash on Los Feliz Boulevard. Saturday night, the new record on Hollywood Boulevard.
