Jay-Z will play SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, two stadium nights under the banner JAŸ-Z 30. Both shows start at 8 p.m., according to the stadium’s event page, and the stadium bills them as a celebration of his 30-year career and the catalog that came with it.

Los Angeles was first promised a single night. Jay-Z and Roc Nation announced the October 23 show in June, after his headlining set at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. In late July a second Inglewood date followed, added because of what the stadium called unprecedented fan demand.

That demand was built in the Bronx. In July he sold out three consecutive nights at Yankee Stadium, the first artist ever to do so there, and the stadium says the run broke the venue’s all-time concert attendance records on all three nights. The first night honored the 30th anniversary of his debut, Reasonable Doubt, the second marked 25 years of The Blueprint and the third ran under the banner Extra Innings, Variety reported. Guests across the run included Beyoncé, Eminem, Pharrell Williams and Rihanna.

Reasonable Doubt arrived in 1996 and peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200. Billboard noted that it is unclear whether the Los Angeles setlists will follow the anniversary shape of the New York nights. Between the Bronx and Inglewood came two nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on September 4 and 5 and a show at the Stade de France in Paris on September 10.

The stadium nights land in a busy season for him. Rick Rubin directed Jay-Z in 8, an eight-part HBO documentary series built on conversations with the rapper about his music, lyrics, life experiences and creative process. SoFi has had a crowded fall of its own, as Velvet reported in The Romantic in Inglewood, Bruno Mars Settles Into SoFi Stadium for a Five-Night Run.

Tickets are sold through Live Nation, and Citi is the official card of the Los Angeles shows.
