Hushed Voices Under the Cahuenga Pass, Iron & Wine Plays Two Nights at The Ford
Sam Beam brings the expanded Hen’s Teeth to The Ford in Hollywood on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18.

The Ford sits in a fold of the Cahuenga Pass, an open-air amphitheater small enough for quiet songs to carry. Iron & Wine, the project of singer-songwriter Sam Beam, plays it this weekend, on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, according to The Ford’s event page.
The Ford says Beam has been making music as Iron & Wine for nearly three decades, across eight albums and numerous EPs and singles. He arrives touring behind the expanded edition of Hen’s Teeth. Sub Pop said the deluxe edition arrived digitally on September 22 and adds six recordings. Four are previously unreleased songs from the Los Angeles sessions that produced the sibling records Light Verse and Hen’s Teeth. The other two are acoustic versions of “In Your Ocean” and “Grace Notes.”
The Songs
The unreleased tracks are “Three Strangers,” “California Sober,” “Pilgrim’s Highway” and “Say What.” Sub Pop describes “California Sober” as the last song written and recorded in those sessions, a playful track for winding down summer. The original Hen’s Teeth came out in February 2026 and includes two duets with I’m With Her.
Two Nights, Two Openers
Saturday’s opener is Ken Pomeroy, a Cherokee singer-songwriter raised in Moore, Oklahoma, as Grimy Goods reported. Sunday’s is DUG, the Irish-American duo of Jonny Pickett and Lorkin O’Reilly. Sub Pop’s tour announcement marks several other dates as sold out but not the two Los Angeles nights. The run is among the last of The Ford’s 2026 season, which Grimy Goods says ends October 31. Later on the calendar is Ava DuVernay’s Main Character Energy on October 29.
